$BMP BRC-20

You've probably read a lot about it. The first BRC-20 token for Bitmap. 100% allocation to Bitmap holders. Sounds great right? The Bitmap community in general is pretty strong so this token could make a lot of money. I own some Bitmaps (not extremely many) that could qualify for $BMP. So I was immediately interested.

But then the questions begin, is it safe? How should I claim this? Can it be done with an Xverse wallet?

I have already gone through these steps so will give you the answers here ;). As you know, I got you guys.

More information about $BMP

$BMP is a token specifically for Bitmap holders. All tokens are 100% allocated to bitmap holders. This could work out hugely well, as the Bitmap community has shown it to be very strong.

So great opportunity!

Some basic info:

Token: $BMP
Price ATM: $0.0064
Supply: 1,000,000,000

Value

The bitmaps you own can represent different values.
For example, the Sub- 10K Bitmaps account for 10,000$BMP, the Sub- 100K 2000$BMP, and the Sub- 817.5K account for 1000$BMP each.

Is it safe?

Of course, this always remains a tricky point, because you have to connect your wallet to the site of $BMP -> https://bmpbrc.com/

The site is somewhat simple but seems safe at first glance, it also complies with SSL certificates. This of course says nothing, but as long as it does not comply with that, I would have been gone immediately.

What else did I do to check for safety?

I checked to see if the Whale holders have already claimed $BMP as well.
Of the top three Whale holders, two ( number one and two) claimed $BMP.

How to claim $BMP

The claiming process is actually very easy, as long as you have a Unisat wallet. If you have an Xverse wallet (or other wallet) then you will have to go through some additional steps.

I will guide you through it step by step:

Step 1:
Go to https://bmpbrc.com/

Optional step:
Enter the Bitmap number to check the claim status.

Step 2:
Connect your Unisat wallet with the site.
After you do that, you get a list of all the bitmaps that qualify for the claim. At the bottom, you will find the total $BMP you can receive.

Step 3:
Press Continue.

Step 4:
Review transfer - Here you can specify how much fee you want to pay. I usually go just above medium. For the example below, I would enter 85 sats/vb.

Step 5:
Follow the final steps to complete your payment and you will find your $BMP back in your wallet once your transaction is approved. You can check this on mempool.space

Xverse Wallet

For Xverse users, it's a bit more complicated and at greater risk (if you ask me).

The video below explains it very easily for you. The biggest problem with this is, you have to use your Secret Recovery Phrase. That’s a risk!

Not because the site can see your seed phrase, but because you never really want to have to use your seed phrase. Because there is always a (small) risk that spyware is installed on your computer and they can see what words you use.

So one more time. Do your own research and everything I tell you is not financial advice (NFA)

Last but not least!

Don't forget to disconnect your wallet from the website. For a little extra security, I also deleted my browser history.
